Comments: This program will be replaced by the
Forestry Enhancement Program in October of 2002. The new program
will be modeled after this program and the Stewardship Incentive
Program (SIP).
Restrictions: must own no more than 1000 acres;
land must be suitable for forestation; land must be capable of
producing marketable timber crops; must develop free forest
management plan with Arkansas state forester from the Arkansas
Forestry Commission
What can the funds be used for: tree planting,
improving a stand of forest trees, site preparation for natural
regeneration
