Program Objective: preventing loss of wetlands
to agriculture
Type of Assistance Available: Payment for
conservation easements or costshare agreement to restore and protect
wetlands
Eligibility/Non-eligibility: private landowners
Amounts Available: Permanent Easement: lesser of
the agricultural value of the land, an established payment cap, or
an amount offered by the landowner; 30 Year Easement: 75%
of what would be paid for a permanent easement; restoration cost
share agreement: 75% of the cost of restoration activity
Matching Requirements: Restoration only: 25%

per year
